Buying in Mexico

Alternatives

  1. There are other ways of possessing property in the restricted areas; you can incorporate a Mexican Company with a minimum of two people. The Mexican company owns the property, but you as the director/company owner, have the right to sell, re-model and make profit on the property, for the company. This is just another way the Mexican government can ensure Title is still held in Mexico.

If the land is still Ejido, (Native Title and not yet Regularized) you can posses the property via a Mexican National you know and trust, using their name on the title papers. They are purely a "figure head" and if contracts are carefully and properly drawn up, there is little chance of legal issues arising in the future. There are currently thousands of foreigners possessing property in this very manner and have done so for many years.

When the land is Regularized or Titled, you can then take up your options and start a company, or a trust to further secure investment for the future.
